Kurt Angle Comments On Rumored Names For Jason Jordan’s Mother On WWE TV

When Kurt Angle returned to WWE in 2017 it seemed that the company wanted to use his star power to help give the up and coming Jason Jordan a boost. WWE put together a major storyline where it was revealed that Jason Jordan was his son, and there was speculation that the storyline could have been expanded by adding another characters as Jordan’s mother.

During a recent episode of The Kurt Angle Show, the Hall of Famer commented on rumors of Dixie Carter or Stephanie McMahon being used for the role, but he noted that he never heard anything about that when he said, “Okay, I never heard about Dixie Carter or Stephanie McMahon. That never came to me, at least (laughs).”

Angle went on to say that WWE should have put Jason Jordan’s mother on TV when he added, “Right, they should have his mother on TV. Definitely! That would have been great TV. You’re absolutely right.”

Some fans were disappointed that Jason Jordan was revealed to be Kurt’s son instead of Chad Gable and the storyline didn’t go very far after the big reveal. According to Kurt Angle, Chad Gable was considered for the role.

“But Chad Gable was a possibility. I knew they were throwing that around, but Vince decided to make it Jason Jordan, and that’s how it stood. It does (fun dirt to talk about), and I think it would have probably been the better storyline. Vince is Vince. He is going to do what he wants to do.”
