Roman Reigns announced on Monday Night Raw this week that he’s taking time off to focus on his battle with leukemia, and the wrestling world has come together to show support for the former Universal Champion.
Kurt Angle has been a prominent figure on Raw since he joined the brand the night after WrestleMania 33, so he’s working with Roman Reigns quite a bit.
The WWE Hall of Famer held a Q&A session on his Facebook page, and when asked about Roman he said that he’s confident The Big Dog will beat leukemia.
“Roman is a very special person. He was the leader, but never acted like he was. He loved to interact with EVERYONE. He wanted feedback on his matches and would give advice to others about their matches. Roman is, was and always will be “the guy”. I’m confident he will beat this, and will be back sooner than later.”
Angle was also asked if there’s anything about WWE he would like to change, but he indicated that he’s happy with the current product.
“Truthfully, there is not a lot I’d like to change. It’s doing pretty damn good right now. I do miss the adult humor we had 15-20 years ago, but that is long gone, and for good reason. More children watch than ever before.”
