Kurt Angle was lucky enough to have a long career inside the squared circle, and throughout the course of his career Angle faced off against some of the best in the business.
Angle officially retired after he was defeated by Baron Corbin at WrestleMania 35, but earlier this year Christian Cage did the opposite when he came out of retirement to enter the Royal Rumble match.
During a recent episode of The Kurt Angle Show the topic of Christian Cage was discussed, and Angle had nothing but praise for the current Impact Wrestling World Champion.
“Every once and awhile we touch base. We were best friends, Edge, Christian, myself and Rhyno. We really were best friends, we spent a lot of time together and that time was so valuable. I’ll never forget what [Christian] did for me, what he did for the business.
“Christian is one of the most underrated professional wrestlers of all time. This guy should actually already be in the Hall of Fame, that’s how good he was. I think someday he will be, I just think he’s been under appreciated.”
