Kofi Kingston Shares Update Following Ankle Surgery

It’s always unfortunate when a WWE star gets injured on the road to WrestleMania, but that’s exactly what happened to Kofi Kingston a few weeks ago. The former WWE Champion suffered an ankle injury during a brawl on SmackDown which also involved Drew McIntyre, Karrion Kross, LA Knight and Sheamus. The injury reportedly happened when Kingston went to catch Drew McIntyre who was doing a flip over the top.

Kofi Kingston has since undergone surgery to repair the injury and he recently posted the following update on social media:

“Surgery went very well! Of course I had to FaceTime the boyzzz upon regaining consciousness…Very little recollection of the conversation, lol.

Thanks to everybody who sent me a message! I appreciate it more than you know! I’m home now. Let the road to recovery begin!”

There’s currently no word on when Kofi Kingston could be back in action. Stay tuned for more updates on his recovery as they become available.
