Kofi Kingston is currently one of the top stars in all of professional wrestling, as he’s the man wearing the WWE Championship around his waist.
Throughout his career Kofi has held quite a few titles, and he’s won the tag team titles many times with several different partners.
One of those partners was CM Punk, and during a recent interview with ACWrestling Kofi had nothing but good things to say about his run with Punk.
“I was Tag Team Champions with CM Punk, which was awesome because I learned so much from him. He was one of the guys who took me under his wing when he didn’t have to. I was always grateful for that friendship. Being tag team partners with R-Truth is always fun. He’s always making you laugh. Every moment we had together was always fun. Evan Bourne, same thing. Super cool and athletic. We would try to out-do each other. It was an awesome experience to see him up-close-and-personal. I can’t possibly pick a favorite.”
CM Punk doesn’t seem to be interested in a return to wrestling, but Kofi Kingston will be in action on Sunday when he defends his WWE Championship against Dolph Ziggler inside a steel cage at the Stomping Grounds pay-per-view.
