WWE.com noted that Kofi Kingston officially tied John Morrison on March 17 to become the single longest reigning WWE Tag Team Champion of all time. Morrison held the titles for 541 days collectively throughout his career, and Kofi has held the titles for 541 days and counting.
Kofi has won the titles in the past with Evan Bourne, R-Truth and of course The New Day. Fellow New Day member Xavier Woods sent him a digital high five as a way to say congratulations.
The New Day aren’t all that far away from breaking some big records as a team either. On March 18 they will tie The Usos with 257 days as WWE Tag Team Champions. The New Day and The Usos have both held the WWE Tag Team Titles twice. The longest reigning WWE Tag Team Champions of all time are Brian Kendrick and Paul London who held the belts for 331 days in one single reign.
