Although it was been a rather dreary day news-wise with the announcement of Seth Rollins’ injury blindsiding us much in the same fashion Joe took Seth out in the first place, there is a little bit of exciting news to report nonetheless.
We previously reported that Brock Lesnar is slated to appear at the Madison Square Garden event in New York City on March 13th and at the time it looked like it was going to be an exclusive SmackDown show with Lesnar being the only exception.
There were a couple of reasons that this assumption was made, one being that the event will take place on a Monday, and the other was that only SmackDown superstars were advertised for the event, however plans have apparently changed in regards to the latter point.
PWInsider reports that Brock Lesnar’s opponent at MSG will be none other than Kevin Owens. This is the first time these two bulls will lock horns in a WWE ring (or anywhere else for that matter), and it will be what one could only assume a match worth seeing. It is also interesting to note that while it is still a Smackdown event, they are sending in a Raw talent to face Lesnar.
Other matches advertised for the card include: Orton vs Harper, Ambrose vs Corbin vs Miz, and Ziggler vs Crews. Tamina is being advertised for the event as well.
Another note to consider (and this is just speculation based on previous reports) is that Owens might be free on a Monday night because he very well not be the WWE Universal Champion after Fastlane on March 5th. If Goldberg topples Owens and claims the Universal Title, then Lesnar facing KO at MSG might have even more significance.
Still Real To Us will be on top of this event and as soon as news breaks about the MSG encounter from The Beast Incarnate and the Zoo Enthusiast, we will bring it straight to you.
