If you were disappointed by the way the Universal Title match ended at WWE Fastlane, then you are not alone. As one would assume, Kevin Owens is mighty let down by how his encounter with the sparkler-smoke snorting part-timer went as well.
Owens tweeted for the first time since his loss last night and by the tone of his message, it’s not only evident that Owens believes there could have been more done in the match but also the fact fans were supremely ripped off as well.
Seriously, though, fans do deserve better when talking about a major title match. This was in a way worse than the “finger poke of doom” because this decision was made from the back and creative probably decided upon it months ago as soon as Goldberg signed an extension in November last year.
We agree with you Kevin, your entrance was indeed the best part of the match.
On that same note, as a response to his loss last night Kevin Owens has changed his profile picture and banner on Twitter. It previously featured his beloved Universal Title, but now his wallpaper is the old “KO-Mania” graphic and his picture is a brooding photo of himself leaning on a turnbuckle. It’s actually appropriate considering the current story KO is facing.
At least fans can find solace in the fact the Owens vs. Jericho match at WrestleMania 33 will probably be four to twenty-seven times longer than the Universal Title match.
