Kevin Owens Praises NXT Star For Breakout Performance

We all remember Patrick Clark from Tough Enough, right? When he was eliminated from the show it was a political move on the producer’s part because The Yeti, Josh Bredl was destined to win the whole show. But when it happened, Mick Foley couldn’t sit there without saying something. Because Clark wanted it and had a passion running deep within him for the business. The kid also had a ton of skills even early on. I highly suggest you watch that season just for Patrick Clark and stop after he’s eliminated.

Foley also posted on Facebook where he really drove home his point all the way back in 2015: “ENOUGH’S ENOUGH. With the elimination of Patrick, two weeks after the dismissal of Daria, I’m officially tapping out on Tough Enough. In order for a future season to seem relevant, WWE needed a guy who could step into a role on the main roster within a year’s time. Sure, there are some promising prospects left – but each one is a long-term project, and a roll of the dice. Patrick was the real deal and now he’s gone…along with this particular viewer.”

Trust me, there is a point to all of this social media time traveling because as it would turn out Patrick Clark from Tough Enough became The Velveteen Dream, who is currently someone who everyone is saying his name. After Dream’s match with Aleister Black at NXT TakeOver: WarGames plenty of people were absolutely astounded by this young man’s ability and can’t wait to see what he’s going to do next.

NXT TakeOver: War Games was amazing but some people are in agreement that Black and Dream stole the show. Kevin Owens even felt the need to open up and congratulate Velveteen Dream for his outstanding showing at TakeOver where he said everyone will be saying his name soon enough and will continue to do so for years to come.

It looks like Mick Foley and Kevin Owens can agree on one thing at least. No matter what you call him, Patrick Clark or The Velveteen Dream, there is a huge career ahead of this talented Superstar.
