Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn were recently fired by SmackDown Live General Manager Daniel Bryan. But they also ignited a fire in Daniel Bryan when they viciously attacked him, and on the most recent episode of SmackDown he challenged Zayn and Owens to tag team match at WrestleMania 34.
Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens accepted the challenge, and on Sunday, April 8 we’ll be seeing the two friends face off against Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon. If Zayn and Owens win the match, they’ll get their jobs back, but if they lose they’ll remain fired.
Even though Sami and Kevin are technically fired at the moment, they decided to make an appearance at the WWE live event in Huntington, WV on Saturday night, and they hijacked the show.
Tye Dillinger managed to defeat Mojo Rawley in a singles match, but he didn’t get much time to enjoy his victory because Zayn and Owens attacked him while he was celebrating.
After beating down Dillinger, Zayn and Owens hyped up their match against Bryan and McMahon, but they were interrupted when WWE officials made their way down to the ringside area.
According to our very own Aaron Varble who was in attendance for the event, Zayn and Owens were not taken to the backstage area, they were escorted out of the building through a side exit. You can check out video from the segment below.
