Kenny Omega Not Ruling Out Royal Rumble Debut

Kenny Omega recently participated in a question and answer session with 4 Font Wrestling, and he was ultimately asked whether or not he would be in San Antonio this Sunday for the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

He replied, “If some of you guys are subscribers to the Network and you’re looking forward to something happening, or not happening, on the 29th… I’m not sure if I can pull a rabbit out of a hat by that date”.

Omegaman continued to say, “But that doesn’t mean it’s impossible. I’m not saying anything. I’m just [he paused] that might be asking too much at this point in time.”

Omega went on to say that if he is in the Royal Rumble then he’s going to win the whole thing.

There have been numerous rumors concerning Kenny Omega’s status with New Japan since he announced that he was “stepping away from Japan” after his epic 6-star Wrestle Kingdom 11 encounter against Kazuchika Okada.

He has taken some dates close to the Royal Rumble, but nothing is out of the picture seeing how Triple H didn’t dismiss the idea of wanting to sign The Cleaner when he was recently asked about the subject.

Some might just chalk this up to Kenny Omega having the uncanny ability to drum up anticipation even when there is none to be had. True, Kenny might be trolling fans a little bit but he knows his value and obviously has the ability to throw as much attention on the matter as he wants to.

As far as surprise entrants for this year’s Royal Rumble go, Nakamura, Samoa Joe, or even Tye Dillinger are rumored to be making appearances at the Alamodome in San Antonio.
