WWE has clearly taken notice of AEW, and next month All Elite Wrestling is set to hold an event called Fight For The Fallen in Jacksonville on Saturday, July 13.
Recently WWE announced that it will stream EVOLVE 131 on the WWE Network on the same night. The WWE Network special is set to feature stars such as Adam Cole, Matt Riddle and more.
Following the announcement AEW Executive Vice President Kenny Omega took to Twitter to criticize WWE when he posted the following:
“If lining your pockets with blood money is okay, then what’s wrong with trying to undermine a charity show for victims of gun violence? I hear that healthy competition is supposed to be a good thing and yet I can’t help but feel like I’m gonna be sick.”
The tweet has since been deleted, but Kenny later followed up by saying he wishes anyone wrestling on any show the best.
