Keith Lee has been making an impact in NXT for some time now, and last week he solidified his spot at the top of the roster.
NXT North American Champion Keith Lee faced NXT Champion Adam Cole in a Winner Take All match at the Great American Bash, and in the end Lee walked out with all the gold.
Cole held the title for over 400 days, and Keith Lee told Bleacher Report that after the match was over he had to show his respect to the former champion.
”It wasn’t on air, obviously, but there was just a moment after all the celebration, the pyro I wasn’t expecting, the confetti and all this crazy stuff and I’m all covered. I look down and I see him still in the corner. That guy is awesome. In that moment, I had to tell him that he gained a new level of respect from me. I shook his hand and that was the first conversation I had.”
