Finn Balor’s Demon is one of the most popular characters in all of WWE right now. Fans look forward to seeing the Demon make his entrance, but one of Finn’s closest friends didn’t think that the gimmick would work.
In a recent interview Finn Balor admitted that when he explained his idea to Karl Anderson, his friend told him he would be laughed out of the building.
“Honestly, the first time the Demon came, and it wasn’t referred to as the Demon at that point—I just wanted to use body paint.” says Balor. “The first time I did that, I said to my best friend [WWE Superstar and fellow NJPW alum] Karl Anderson that I’m going to do this thing. I explained to him what I was doing and he said, ‘do not do that, you’re going to be laughed out of the building.’”
Well it turns out that Karl Anderson was wrong, and he has no problem admitting it as he recently posted the following on Twitter:
