Kane recently made his return to WWE when he reunited with Daniel Bryan, and Team Hell No went on to challenge The Bludgeon Brothers for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles at Extreme Rules.
But prior to his return Kane hadn’t appeared on WWE programming in a while, and it doesn’t sound like we’ll be seeing him on a regular basis in the future.
The former WWE Champion was recently elected mayor of Knox County, TN, so he’s got a lot on his plate right now.
However, Kane told Rolling Stone that he’s not ruling out a return as long as his WWE related obligations don’t have an impact on his duties as mayor.
“WWE is always going to be part of me and hopefully I’ll always be part of it. I haven’t ruled out making special appearances every now and then. My main priority is being mayor, of course. [My role in the WWE] does bring a lot of attention to Knox County, so that’s cool. It’s just a matter of making sure everything I do — WWE or any other outside stuff — does not impact my role as mayor.”
