On Sunday night The Kabuki Warriors defended the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles against Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch in the main event of the TLC pay-per-view, but unfortunately it was reported Kairi Sane suffered a possible concussion a few minutes into the match.
PWInsider is now reporting that Kairi Sane has been pulled from post-Christmas live events as an in-ring performer.
Original plans for the WWE Madison Square Garden event on 12/26 called for The Kabuki Warriors to defend the Women’s Tag Team Titles against Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch inside a steel cage. However, that match has been changed to Asuka vs. Becky vs. Charlotte in the cage.
Although Kairi Sane has been pulled from in-ring competition she did appear on Raw this week alongside Asuka, she just didn’t get physical.
At one point during the match it seems that Becky Lynch tried to protect Kairi Sane by rolling her underneath the ring where she would be safe from the action. Video footage of Lynch rolling Sane underneath the ring can be seen below.
