On Sunday Shad Gaspard was among a group of swimmers who unfortunately got caught in a riptide at Venice Beach. Gaspard’s 10 year old son was rescued, and shortly after Shad was submerged when he was hit by a wave, and he hasn’t been seen since.
Rescue workers have been searching for Shad, but as of this writing the former WWE Superstar has not been found.
The wrestling world has been reacting to the fact that Shad Gaspard is currently missing, and his Cryme Tyme partner JTG took to Twitter to share a screen shot of a text Shad sent him in January which said, “If ever I die tomorrow just know I Love you as a brother and friend for ever, even past this life.”
JTG responded with, “Love you too brotha #Nohomo”
As we previously reported, wrestlers such as Kofi Kingston and others have been tweeting the following statement on behalf of Shad Gaspard’s family:
“. @Shadbeast‘s family appreciates all the love, support, and concern through this horrible ordeal. At this time they are not ready to make any public or official statements to any media outlet And ask all to respect their wishes.”
