It’s been a rough time for the world of professional wrestling, as Shad Gaspard went missing while swimming at Venice Beach last week, and his body was recovered a few days later.
Unfortunately the world lost Shad Gaspard at the age of 39, and now family, friends and fans are mourning his passing.
A Go Fund Me page was set up for Shad’s family, and a $40,000 donation was made to the account under the name CTC RIP.
John Cena and Cryme Tyme had a run together as CTC (Cryme Tyme Cenation) and the donation created speculation that the money was donated by John Cena. JTG recently appeared on Chasing Glory with Lilian Garcia, and he said he’s about 99.9% sure he knows who donated the money.
“I don’t know, I’m not a hundred percent confirm but I’m 99.9% sure you know there was a donation for $40,000 and it was, they said that the person donated the money was CTC RIP and CTC was a faction between Cryme Tyme and John Cena and it was 2008. It was one also one of the most fun I’ve ever had at the WWE was teaming with Cena.”
It’s also worth noting that Cena recently referenced the CTC run when he posted the following on Instagram:
