WWE studios is co-developing a biopic about George Raymond Wagner, better known to wrestling fans as Gorgeous George. The film will follow the life and career Gorgeous George and according to Variety the movie is being written by Josh Gad and Ryan Dixon.
“Gorgeous George was a true pioneer in television,” said Michael Luisi, President of WWE Studios. “Josh is a true talent and we are thrilled to see him and Ryan tackle such a groundbreaking story.”
No word yet on when the film will go into production. But Variety notes that Josh Gad just finished production on “Beauty and the Beast” and he will be playing Roger Ebert in the film “Russ and Roger Go Beyond” which begins production in January.
