For years The Shield was one of the top factions in WWE, but earlier this year WWE fans officially had to say goodbye to The Shield, because Jon Moxley decided to leave the company and join AEW.
Now Jon Moxley is living in a bit of a different world than Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins, and Moxley recently told Chris Van Vliet that he hasn’t really been keeping in touch with his Shield brothers.
“You get in the bubble. You’re busy. I mean, not really. Not so much. A little bit. You know, text Roman a little bit here and there. But he’s super busy. I mean, they’re so busy in the bubble and stuff, you know, and I’m busy, too.”
Shortly after parting ways with WWE, Moxley appeared on Talk Is Jericho and openly talked about his reasons for leaving the company.
There didn’t seem to be much of a response from WWE after the podcast was released, and Moxley noted that he wasn’t surprised by the lack of reaction.
“No, I expected that. I expected it to be way worse. I assume I’m just kind of persona non-grata there now, which is fine. But I just felt like I did everything right in the way out. I gave my body to that company. I did everything, I did everything right. I was a model employee for them. But I also had to eat a lot of shit. And I think it was more than fair to at least just kind of like tell my side of the story about some of this stuff just so that now we can start fresh. Which we did at Double Or Nothing.”
