CM Punk walked away from the professional wrestling business in 2014, and although fans constantly talk about a potential in-ring return for the WWE Champion.
Punk has shown little interest in returning to the ring, but has noted that he hasn’t completely ruled out a return, but it would take a stupid amount of money to get him back in the ring.
In 2019 Jon Moxley jumped ship from WWE to AEW, and during a recent Bleacher Report AMA he was asked if CM Punk would be a good fit for AEW.
“If he wanted to be, that’s still really up to him. This is a place where a lot of people who love to wrestle come to wrestle. This is a great place to be.”
At this point it’s not clear if CM Punk will ever end up appearing on AEW programming, but this is the wrestling business after all, so you can never say never.
