John Cena’s SmackDown Return Date Announced, The Hype Bros. Earn A Tag Team Title Shot

WWE announced during SmackDown this week that John Cena will return to WWE SmackDown Live in two weeks during the December 27 episode.

Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton won the SmackDown Tag Team Titles at TLC, and they successfully defended the titles against Heath Slater and Rhyno on last week’s episode of SmackDown.

This week on SmackDown, Heath Slater & Rhyno, American Alpha, The Hype Bros, Breezango, The Vaudevillains, The Ascension and The Usos all competed in a battle royal to determine the new number 1 contenders for the Tag Team Titles.

During the battle royal Heath Slater accidentally eliminated Rhyno and that didn’t go over too well with his tag team partner. It came down to Heath Slater, Tyler Breeze, Zack Ryder and Konnor.

Eventually it came down to Zack Ryder and Konnor, and Ryder managed to get the win. The Hype Bros. are the new number 1 contenders for the Tag Team Titles.
