John Cena’s Return To WWE Raw Announced

John Cena is a 16 time WWE World Champion, but as much as he tries to convince fans that he’s not a part timer nowadays, there’s no way around it, he’s a part timer. That’s ok though because when Cena does return to WWE, he makes it count, and he recently gave Shinsuke Nakamura the “rub” as they say in the professional wrestling business when he let the King of Strong Style pin him clean in the middle of the ring in a number one contenders match.

Shinsuke Nakamura is heading to SummerSlam to challenge Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship, and John Cena is set to challenge Baron Corbin at the biggest party of the summer on August 20. Cena is set for a big match with Mr. Money in the Bank in a few weeks, but where he goes from there is unclear.

John Cena returned to SmackDown Live a few weeks ago, and when he returned he returned as a free agent. That means John can appear on Raw or SmackDown Live as he pleases, but he has yet to appear on Raw since his return. However, he is being advertised for the No Mercy pay-per-view in September, and it’s rumored that he could be getting into a feud with Samoa Joe.

In order to set up a feud for the No Mercy pay-per-view on September 24, Cena is going to have to spend some time on Raw. It looks like the former 16 time WWE World Champion is set to return to the red brand the night after SummerSlam, as the Barclays Center in Brooklyn is advertising him for Monday Night Raw on August 21.
