If you’re a John Cena fan that watches SmackDown Live on a weekly basis, then you’ve probably been disappointed by the fact that Cena hasn’t appeared on the show in a few months. Cena has been a key player on Tuesday nights ever since the WWE brand split last summer, but it looks like we may be seeing Cena on Monday nights as well when he returns.
It was recently confirmed that John Cena will be returning to WWE SmackDown Live soon and earlier today PWInsider reported that we may also be seeing Cena appear on Raw in the future. According to the report, the creative team has pitched an idea for John Cena to be presented as a “free agent” who could move back and forth between Raw and SmackDown Live.
Well, it looks like WWE went ahead with the idea, because this week on Raw they showed a video package on Raw advertising that “free agent” John Cena is return to SmackDown Live on July 4th.
Not only is Cena set to start working both brands, but it’s also rumored that he could be challenging WWE Champion Jinder Mahal for his title at SummerSlam in August.
On this week’s episode of Still Real Radio, we’re talking to former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger about what’s next for his wrestling career, possibly going to Impact Wrestling, winning the World Title and more.
