John Cena has worked with some of the biggest names in the professional wrestling industry, so it’s safe to say that he knows a star when he sees one.
Cena has been keeping his eyes on NXT, and he even said recently that he hopes to someday appear on NXT programming.
During a recent Q&A session at MegaCon in Orlando, Cena was asked who he would like to face out of Adam Cole, Richochet and Velveteen Dream, and he gave some high praise to Dream.
“You know how in the Star Wars movies the old Jedis can look at the rookie Jedis and be like, ‘I think that’s the one.’ I kinda have a weird, odd midichlorian feeling about Velveteen Dream,” Cena said via Pro Wrestling Sheet. “I think there’s something special there.”
If Cena does end up wrestling a match in NXT in the future, perhaps we could see him face off against Velveteen Dream at some point.
