For many years John Cena was the cornerstone of WWE, but it’s been a while since fans have seen him wrestle a match in a WWE ring.
The 16 time WWE World Heavyweight Champion has been focusing on his acting career, and if he doesn’t wrestle at TLC tonight, 2019 will mark the first time in 17 years that Cena has not wrestled a match on a WWE pay-per-view.
Cena did work several WWE live events earlier this year, and he appeared on Raw twice, but he seemingly addressed his pay-per-view status when he posted a photo on Instagram that said, “Keep Calm and Keep The Streak Going.”
John Cena also posted an interesting tweet which reads, “Run with those faster than you.”
Cena explained in an interview a few months ago how his acting career prevents him from wrestling, but it will be interesting to see if he keeps his streak alive tonight.
