2025 is going to be a big year for John Cena as the 16 time WWE World Champion has confirmed that he’ll be retiring from in-ring competition when the year comes to an end.
There’s been a lot of speculation regarding who John Cena could face during his retirement tour, and a number of wrestlers have already publicly stated that they’re hoping to get in the ring with him.
Recently John Cena posted a photo of Cody Rhodes decked out in American Nightmare themed Stardust gear on his Instagram. Cena is known for posting Instagram photos without context, but fans in the comments immediately started talking about the possibility of John Cena clashing with Cody Rhodes.
It’s not clear at this point in time if there are any plans for a John Cena vs. Cody Rhodes match in 2025. However, it was recently reported that WWE is considering a big title match for Cena at WrestleMania 41, and you can get more on that here.
