John Cena is without a doubt one of the most successful wrestlers of all time and he had done just about everything there is to do in WWE. After a storied career that spanned decades the 17 time champion finally retired from in-ring competition back in December when he was defeated by Gunther at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Following his in-ring retirement there’s been a lot of talk about John Cena’s future with WWE, and he recently teased that he could be taking on a new role with the company during an appearance at Mega Con Orlando.
“I am working diligently to try to figure out my next path as a contributing, useful member of WWE. I think I might crack the code, and I think we have something, and if the stars align and everybody signs off, I will be a whole lot more integrated in the system. I’m very excited about the road ahead, and I’ll just cross my fingers that it works.”
Cena has always been passionate about WWE and his comments seem to indicate that he has no desire to distance himself from professional wrestling now that his in-ring career is over. However, John Cena has remained adamant that he will not be wrestling again despite the fact that some fans weren’t happy with how his retirement match played out.
