John Cena Talks About Vince McMahon’s Stipulation For Survivor Series

This week’s sitdown interview with Michael Cole features John Cena, as seen above. Below are highlights:

* Cole mentioned how Survivor Series isn’t about a championship but Cena disagreed. He brought up how The Authority handled Daniel Bryan and the WWE World Heavyweight Title, and then brought in Brock Lesnar. Cena believes the man who holds the title should be the best WWE has but The Authority wants the champion to be the best they have.

* Cena knows he’s asking his teammates to make a leap of faith and an unpopular decision, to basically put their livelihoods on the line but that’s why they have to win.

* Cole brought up how Chris Jericho said maybe it will be best if The Authority wins because we know what we have coming. Cole asked Cena if he knows what will happen if he wins. Cena said what we have coming from The Authority isn’t what the WWE Universe wants. Cena said he shouldn’t be the boss, the WWE Universe should be. Cena wants to let the fans run the show and says that’s not a new concept because that’s what the Yes Movement was about.

* Cole asked if Team Cena will win on Sunday. Cena said they have to because he doesn’t see another opportunity like this coming up. Cena said Vince McMahon himself made this match interesting and important to every WWE Superstar. Cena hopes they wake up on Monday and The Authority is gone. He hopes things are upside down for a little while because he likes going to the ring and not knowing what’s going to happen. He also likes having a fair shot.
