John Cena Still Mentoring Current WWE Star

John Cena spent years working as the face of WWE, but nowadays the former WWE Champion is more focused on his acting career. Throughout the course of his wrestling career Cena has worked with many wrestlers including Seth Rollins.

Even though John Cena isn’t a regular on WWE programming anymore Seth Rollins explained to Pro Wrestling Illustrated that Cena is still a mentor to him to this very day.

“John’s the GOAT man. John’s the best. John is incredible. And you know, I’m a footnote, really, in his career. John influenced so many talents over the years, he was a generational guy. For me though, on the other side of that, John influenced what I do so heavily. I took a ton of inspiration from John.

“I learned a lot being in the ring with John. I learned a lot watching John behind the scenes. And John still is a mentor to me, even now, even though he isn’t around that often.”

John Cena last competed when he teamed up with Kevin Owens to defeat Roman Reigns & Sami Zayn during the final SmackDown of 2022. It was recently reported that Cena’s WrestleMania match is locked in and you can get more on that here.
