Anticipation for WrestleMania seems to be at an all time high as The Rock is set to team with Roman Reigns to face Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins at the big event. John Cena has also said that he will be free during WrestleMania weekend, but so far the former WWE Champion has not been announced for the show.
John Cena recently talked about his status for WrestleMania 40 during an appearance on the Drew Barrymore Show, and he indicated that as of right now there are no plans for him.
“So this is kind…I’m kind of waiting for my invite. Unfortunately, it’s not like a…I don’t have a prom date, so I have no one to go to the prom with. So I haven’t been asked to go yet. But that’s okay, that’s alright. Dwayne, I’m very excited that you are going. I have not yet found a golden ticket in my chocolate bar,. So I guess I gotta keep eating chocolate bars to find a golden ticket [laughs].
“It’s the fortieth installment of WrestleMania, and that gives me tremendous joy and happiness because the event is bigger than it’s ever been. I believe you should leave a place better than when you found it. I think I’ve done that, and it brings my heart so much joy to see the event in the place that it is now.”
