Throughout his career John Cena has feuded with some of the biggest names in the business, and he’s faced off against Randy Orton a number of times. Cena’s rivalry with Randy Orton has spanned decades, but the two stars faced off for the last time at Backlash earlier this month when Cena successfully defended his Undisputed WWE Championship against The Viper.
Recently John Cena spoke to Entertainment Tonight about his match with Randy Orton at WWE Backlash, and he noted that it was “pretty cool” to finally close out their 25 year rivalry.
“On the WWE side, we’re just taking it one at a time. We did our last one in St. Louis. I had my last match with Randy Orton, and that was pretty cool to kind of put a close to that 25-year rivalry. So as every chapter happens, it’s a different feeling for everyone.”
John Cena will be stepping into the ring again sooner than later as he’s currently set to go one on one with R-Truth at Saturday Night’s Main Event on May 24th.
