Whether you want to see it or not, Big Show and Shaq will be facing off against each other in a match at WrestleMania 33. Big Show recently returned to TV and it’s clear that he’s taking this match very seriously. Show has been wrestling for a long time now and with his 45th birthday less than a week away he’s not getting any younger, but he’s dropped a significant amount of weight and the former WWE Champion looks to be in tremendous shape.
There’s no denying that Big Show seems more determined than ever to put on a great show at WrestleMania 33, but it wasn’t all that long ago that he was met with “please retire” chants from WWE fans.
TMZ recently caught up with John Cena and they asked him if he has any advice for Shaq before he steps into the ring with Big Show. Cena put over Show’s work ethic and he noted that Big Show will be looking to silence his critics at WrestleMania.
“Don’t underestimate Big Show. He’s taking it very seriously and he’s in great shape. I’ve known Show for 15 years and he has truly transformed his body. I think he’s really got something to prove this year at WrestleMania. Keep in mind this is a guy that two years ago was serenaded by the audience to chants of ‘please retire’ and I know that kind of hit him close. I know he’s busting ass to make sure he makes his mark on WrestleMania.”
Surely “please retire” chants are the last thing any wrestler wants to hear when they step in the ring, but it seems like Big Show has embraced the hate and he’s ready to prove a lot of people wrong at WrestleMania.

One way or another Big Show likely won’t be performing inside the squared circle for much longer, so if you are one of those people who likes to chant “please retire” you should probably just sit back and enjoy watching this one of a kind athlete perform while you still can.
