John Cena Misses The WWE Universe, Bobby Roode Talks NXT Takeover

It’s been a little while since WWE fans have seen John Cena compete in the ring. John Cena and Dean Ambrose both challenged AJ Styles for the WWE World Championship at No Mercy, and Styles retained. Cena has been absent from WWE since the pay-per-view, as he’s filming the second season of his show. John Cena took to Twitter to wish luck to everyone involved with Survivor Series, and to let everyone in the WWE Universe know he misses them terribly.

Survivor Series of course isn’t the only big pay-per-view taking place in Toronto this weekend. The NXT roster will also get their time to shine when NXT TakeOver: Toronto airs on the WWE Network on Saturday night.

Bobby Roode is set to take on Tye Dillinger, and Roode recently spoke to the Miami Herald to hype up the show. You can check out the full interview here and see what he had to say below.

“I think this is Tye’s first opportunity to perform on a big stage like NXT TakeOver: Toronto. So I know that he’s going to be ready. I know that he’s going to be fully prepared, and we’re going to go out there and attempt to steal the show.”

“There’s a lot of great matches on this card. I think him and I have an opportunity — of course, being we’re both Canadian, both growing up within hours of the Air Canada Centre — where it’s going to be one of those moments in front of the crazy Toronto wrestling fans, the Canadian wrestling fans, that it’s going to be a pretty special moment.”
