John Cena Issues Statement After Settling Lawsuit With Ford

John Cena has taken on some of the toughest opponents that the wrestling world has to offer, but he recently found himself in a different type of battle when Ford filed a lawsuit against him.

Cena purchased a Ford GT and signed a contract stating that he couldn’t sell the car for 24 months, but Cena originally claimed that the clause wasn’t included in the final contract he signed.

Ford was seeking damages of $75,000 for the unauthorized sale.

Now Auto Blog is reporting that the case has been settled out of court for an undisclosed amount, and that Ford will be donating the money to charity.

John Cena issued the following statement on the matter:

“I love the Ford GT and apologize to Ford, and encourage others who own the car to respect the contract. […] I am pleased we could resolve this matter outside of court, and that a worthy charity will benefit from one of the most iconic cars in the world.”
