WWE has created many stars over the last few decades, and for years John Cena was known as the face of the company.
But now that Cena has moved on to the world of acting Roman Reigns is being pushed as the face of WWE, and the fans haven’t always accepted him in the role.
During a recent episode of the After The Bell podcast with Corey Graves, Cena spoke openly about Roman’s status, and he said that The Big Dog is doing “an extremely good job.”
“Maybe Roman is flirting with that territory but it’s not like… Actually, Roman does an extremely good job at it, but we need something like that. We need a frontman to push forward and that’s where the era will get defined.”
Roman Reigns was originally set to challenge Bill Goldberg for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania this weekend, but he has since pulled out of the event. You can get more on that here.
