John Cena appearances on WWE programming are few and far between nowadays, but Cena made his return to Raw this week ahead of WrestleMania 39. As Cena made his entrance at the TD Garden in Boston it was clear that he was emotional, and he explained why when he posted the following on Twitter:
“Last night was the first time I entered the arena and had the thought that it might be the last time. I’ll never be able to put into words how much I love the #WWEUniverse”
Shortly after John Cena made his entrance he was interrupted by the one and only Austin Theory who challenged him to a match at WrestleMania. After going back and forth for a while Cena finally agreed to the match and now he’s set to challenge Theory for the United States Championship on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
This will be the first time that John Cena has competed at WrestleMania since he was defeated by Bray Wyatt in the Firefly Fun House match at WrestleMania 36. Stay tuned for more updates on the WrestleMania card as they become available.
