John Cena is a huge draw worldwide but his t-shirts aren’t selling like the Bullet Club’s at Hot Topic. This might seem like a smalltime accomplishment but it speaks volumes to the Bullet Club’s influence at this point. There are people who now shop at Hot Topic just because it’s a store where you can buy Kenny Omega merchandise.
The Bullet Club is full of some great personalities including Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, Cody, Marty Scurll, Hangman Page, and more but it looks like there was one fan who wanted to know if John Cena would be interested in joining them as well.
During a recent online Q&A, Super Cena was asked if he’d be interested in joining the Bullet Club and his response was both tactful and humorous.
“Would I like to join the Bullet Club?” John Cena said while restating the question. “I don’t know, that’s a pretty elite club I don’t know if they’d have me. I don’t know — I’m beyond my years it would be like them getting, I don’t know… a grizzled veteran. It would be like in Major League when they signed [Roger] Dorn. It would be like ‘oh we should’ve had this guy three years ago and they did — ah whatever, anyway.”
But whether you’d like to see John Cena wearing black and “one sweeting” the BC crew at Wrestle Kingdom is probably a moot point. With his busy schedule, it’s hard for Cena to make WWE dates at this point on his limited schedule. Although he is at least expected to come back for some kind of program on the Road To WrestleMania 34.
But Nick Jackson had to speak up and let Cena know that he would be more than welcomed to join their club if he would like to. We’re sure nothing would make Vince McMahon happier.
So if Cena has a falling out with WWE and Hollywood dries up, it’s nice to know he has an offer on the table to join the Bullet Club.
