It has already been revealed that John Cena will be moving over to Monday Night Raw following SummerSlam since he is advertised for the Raw-exclusive No Mercy event next month, but it seems that Cena could be set for another huge rivalry on the red brand.
According to a report from GiveMeSport, it seems that Cena is being advertised for a match with Samoa Joe on the September 4th episode of Raw from Omaha, Nebraska. The same night, Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman are scheduled to collide in an ‘Omaha Street Fight’, so the fall out from SummerSlam looks likely to continue in the coming weeks.
Cena’s match at SummerSlam was recently revealed and he will be facing Mr. Money in the Bank Baron Corbin. If this is his final match on SmackDown Live then this could well be him putting over another future star before he heads over to Raw.
The former World Champion recently revealed that he asked to become a free agent so that he could work with any up and coming talents because he knows his days in the company are numbered.
Every card is subject to change, but after already seeing Shinsuke Nakamura up against John Cena last week, fans will definitely be excited to see another dream match on the horizon.
