On Joe Rogan’s recent podcast he decided to rip into pro wrestling when he was talking about MMA compared to wrestling. Below is a quote from his podcast:
“One of them is real. One of them is people battling for their lives in the most difficult content in all of sports. The other is some weird, ****** jerk-off thing where strange guys sit in front of the TV and pretend they don’t know it’s fake. You don’t want to know. You shut that part of your brain off.”
Rogan then got into it on Twitter with former ROH World Champion Michael Elgin. He did say that he doesn’t enjoy watching wrestling but he respects the athletes.
We hate to be the ones to tell you this Joe, but you kind of picked the wrong fanbase to insult. It’s all good if you don’t like pro wrestling but you are going about it the wrong way.
Might be a good idea to stay off Twitter until this one blows over.

The clip, as you’ll see later in the article is nothing but entertainment (well ands entertaining as WWE comedy can be), and certainly doesn’t prove that wrestling can be an athletic, and dangerous to participate in. I read a transcript of a Joe Rogan (UFC commentator) who voiced a similar opinion of pro wrestling. […]
