Joe Hendry has been one of the most talked about stars in wrestling over the last few years and Hendry took his career to the next level a few weeks ago when he won the NXT Championship.
Last year Joe Hendry added another big accolade to his resume when he stepped up to face Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41. Unfortunately for Hendry he didn’t pick up the win, but it’s probably safe to say that won’t be his last WrestleMania match.
While speaking with WrestleZone at WWE 2K26 Creator Fest, Joe Hendry discussed the possibility of him competing in a WrestleMania match this year, and he admitted that the idea of defending the NXT Championship has popped into his head.
“My job is to represent NXT and be the best NXT Champion that I can possibly be. Actually, I’m thinking about what’s immediately ahead of me. But if you’re asking me to think about WrestleMania, wouldn’t it be cool to see the NXT Championship at WrestleMania? That’s popped into my head. But for right now, my focus is to be the best NXT Champion that I can possibly be.”
