Jinder Mahal is the current WWE Champion, and he’s been working hard to hold one of the top spots in WWE ever since he won the title at Backlash earlier this year. An injury is the worst possible thing that can happen to a wrestler when they’re WWE Champion, and it was recently reported by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Mahal has been working with an injured shoulder.
The WWE Champion recently spoke to ESPN and denied the report saying that the reason why he’s been taped up a live events is because he doesn’t want his shoulders to roll forward.
“I don’t have an injury. Those are just rumours. I have large traps and that causes my shoulders to roll forward so when I tape them up, it just pulls my shoulders back and I start to develop my rear shoulders more. My traps are a bit too strong so it puts me out of balance. So it is just to prevent future injuries.”
The next few months should be very interesting for Jinder Mahal as he’s rumored to be facing Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series next month, and he’s set to defend his WWE Title in India in December.
Mahal has also said that he’s interested in becoming a babyface, and you can get more on that here.
