Jinder Mahal is currently traveling around India on a promotional blitz for WWE to hype his people up for WWE’s upcoming tour with the Raw brand. Although the Red Team will be representing WWE in India, the Modern Day Maharaja is going to make the trip and take on Kevin Owens as a total babyface in front of his people in India.
After his tour of India is over with, WWE has some bigger plans as Jinder Mahal is slated to face Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series. This booking decision is a smart one because it will be a great way to keep the titles on both brand’s champions. Let’s just hope WWE books the match in a way where the competitors leave looking strong enough to represent their brands as champion.
But the WWE Champion was looking past Survivor Series all the way to the Show Of Shows when he laid down a challenge via social media. Jinder Mahal said he wants to face John Cena at WrestleMania 34 and it sounds like he’s serious.
John Cena received an official challenge from the Modern Day Maharaja during a Twitter Q&A when Mahal was asked who he wanted to face at WrestleMania 34. Mahal said he planned on being the WWE Champion until WrestleMania and beyond and seemed very sure of himself.
“At WrestleMania 34 I would like to face John Cena for my WWE Championship, it could happen because I fully intend on being WWE Champion come WrestleMania and even after WrestleMania. So John Cena, let’s say this is an official challenge to you.”
If this match happened then it might spell the end of Jinder Mahal’s reign as WWE Champion. But then again it could just be another chance for Big Match John to sprinkle his magic “Cena Dust” on someone who WWE wants to earmark as a huge part of the WWE’s future. No matter what the reason is, we’re still very excited about the idea of Cena and Mahal having a program leading to The Show Of Shows.
