Roman Reigns has been champion for almost three years now and for a majority of his historic reign he’s had The Bloodline by his side. However, it’s no big secret that The Bloodline has been falling apart for months now as Jimmy Uso turned on Roman Reigns at Night of Champions which led to Jey Uso leaving The Bloodline as well.
Solo Sikoa remained loyal to Roman Reigns following the split and he even sidelined Jimmy Uso weeks ago after he put his own brother through the announce table. Jey Uso then challenged Roman Reigns to a match at SummerSlam and it was determined that The Tribal Chief would defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in a Tribal Combat match.
Both men fought hard until the momentum shifted when Solo Sikoa came out of the crowd and attacked Jey. However, Roman ended up spearing Solo by accident at one point and later in the match Jey Uso put Solo through the announce table with a splash then set his sights on The Tribal Chief.
The end of the match came when Jey Uso hit Roman Reigns with a spear followed by a splash and went for a pin, but a hooded figure pulled Jey off Roman. The person took their hood off and it was revealed to be Jimmy Uso who then superkicked his brother. Roman Reigns took advantage and speared Jey Uso through a table then pinned him to retain the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
It’s worth noting that when it was all said and done neither Jimmy Uso nor Solo Sikoa left with Roman Reigns as he walked to the back.
