Jimmy Jacobs is well-known in the professional wrestling world after spending 12 years in Ring of Honor before he came over to WWE and became a writer for their creative team back in 2015.
When The Bullet Club invaded Raw a few weeks ago, Jacobs bumped into his old friends and uploaded a picture to Instagram with The Young Bucks, Marty Scurll and Adam Page it seems that this got the former ROH Tag Team Champion a lot of heat backstage from WWE executives.
WWE officials were so angry about the invasion that they sent a cease and desist order to The Young Bucks to stop them using the “Too Sweet” hand gesture. The Young Bucks responded by making new shirts mocking the order and took to Youtube to continue to mock WWE.
The fact that Jacobs hashtagged the Bullet Club Invasion in the Instagram post and was seen to be promoting his friends attempt to recreate the famous DX invasion of WCW, was said to have further angered a lot of WWE officials, even though the likes of Kevin Owens, AJ Styles and Sami Zayn have all taken pictures with the NJPW team but didn’t face any backlash from the company.
Jacobs has definitely departed from WWE, but Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that it is currently unknown if he was released or fired, but given the heat that the Instagram post caused last month, it seems that the latter is more likely.
