Tonight’s the night. AEW Double Or Nothing is set to air live from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, and Jim Ross will be calling the action with Alex Marvez and Excalibur.
Jim Ross is considered by many to be one of the greatest professional wrestling commentators of all time, and for many years Jerry “The King” Lawler was his broadcast partner on Monday Night Raw.
Lawler is currently under contract with WWE, but during a live Q&A panel at Starrcast II Jim Ross noted that Lawler’s contract is up for renewal, and he’s going to be recruiting him for AEW when it’s up.
According to Dominic DeAngelo of WrestleZone, Ross also noted that he plans to call Double Or Nothing like a sporting event.
“Jerry’s contract is coming up for renewal. I’m gonna be recruiting him.”
