The last few weeks have been a rollercoaster in the world of wrestling as it was reported by the Wall Street Journal that Vince is being investigated for paying $12 million dollars in hush money payments to suppress sexual misconduct allegations. Vince has stepped down as Chairman and CEO of WWE with Stephanie McMahon stepping up as the interim Chairwoman and CEO.
WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross recently addressed the allegations on his Grilling JR podcast, and he noted that he feels bad for Vince McMahon.
“I feel bad about all the sh*t’s going on [in the WWE], it’s terrible. I don’t know what’s true or what’s not, but it’s a tough one to digest, quite frankly, Vince’s scenario. I feel bad for him.”
Ross also went on to say that his comments about Vince McMahon’s situation have nothing to do with him wanting to go back to WWE as he’s happy where he is.
“No, folks, I’m 70. I made the money, I saved it, I’m good. I don’t want to go back to work there, I love working for Tony Khan, and not the stress and all the dissension … I don’t have to deal with that anymore, and that’s what it had become [in WWE] for me.”
