Goldberg is the current WWE Universal Champion and he’s set to defend his title against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando on April 2nd.
WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross knows a thing or two about high profile WrestleMania matches and he recently spoke to Sports Illustrated about a number of topics including who he thinks will walk out of Mania with the big red belt. Although most fans are expecting the match to be quite short given Goldberg’s history inside the squared circle, Jim Ross believes that Brock and Goldberg can put on a 10 minute match and he expects Lesnar to win.
“Lesnar will go over with his finish, the F5. If they use their head, make sure Paul Heyman is involved in the game-planning, and get an agent like Michael Hayes or Pat Patterson or someone like that, then there is no excuse that they can’t give you ten quality minutes, bell-to-bell. There is no reason that two guys of that stature, earning that kind of money, can’t give ten kickass minutes of pro wrestling content. I firmly believe it’s possible.”
The stars of the WWE Raw roster invaded Toronto for a live event on Saturday night and a former Intercontinental Champion was in the house. Santino Marella was backstage catching up with friends and WWE shared the following photo of Marella showing off his cobra skills with Enzo Amore.
If that’s not a dream tag team right there then I don’t know what is.
