Goldberg has been one of the top names in professional wrestling for decades now and his WWE contract is set to expire sooner than later. The Hall of Famer is signed with WWE through the end of the year, but he has no matches left on his contract.
There’s no telling what the future might hold for Goldberg at this point in time, but he did say recently that he intends to wrestle again as he doesn’t want to end his career on a loss to Roman Reigns.
Jim Ross recently discussed the possibility of Goldberg wrestling in AEW on an episode of Grilling JR, and he said that he would have to guess that it probably won’t happen, but it’s up to Tony Khan.
“That’s strictly a Tony Khan question and I don’t want to pretend to think for Tony. He’s a different level than I, and he and I don’t have that relationship; we don’t talk about creative. Which is fine with me, I’m not complaining about that by the way. But I don’t see it right now. I can’t conclusively say ‘never’ or whatever ’cause I don’t know.”
