Kenny Omega is the current AEW World Champion, and he has been the champion since he defeated Jon Moxley to win the belt at the Winter Is Coming edition of Dynamite back in December.
However, this week on AEW Dynamite Jim Ross mistakenly referred to Kenny Omega as “WWE Champion Kenny Omega” while introducing a segment with Kenny.
The mistake certainly didn’t go unnoticed by the wrestling community, and Jim Ross took to Twitter to acknowledge that he got caught up in the “heat of battle” when he posted the following:
It was announced on Dynamite this week that Kenny Omega will defend the AEW World Title against Jon Moxley in an Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch at Revolution.
